Your First Visit To Our Office

Information about your first visit to our North Raleigh dental office.

A patient’s first visit to Keith RR Gaught, DDS Family Dentistry will typically consist of an examination to form a diagnosis followed by a consultation and presentation of treatment options. In some cases, we may begin treatment immediately after the consultation, however, those patients with complex medical histories or extensive treatment plans may require additional appointments at which treatment will be provided.

Health history & Pre-existing condition(s)

At your first appointment, you will be asked to provide a medical and dental history. This may include things such as treatment guidelines from your physician, a current list of medications, and/or any dental X-rays in your possession.

Before any dental procedure, it is important to alert team members to medical conditions that may be of concern. These may include heart disease, high blood pressure, artificial heart valves and joints, diabetes, etc. Also please let us know if you are on any medication that may affect the procedure (i.e. heart medication, aspirin, blood thinners, etc.) or if you require medication before dental cleanings (i.e. antibiotic premedication.)

Dental Insurance

You may also be asked to provide completed dental insurance information, if applicable. This helps us avoid unnecessary delays when processing dental insurance claims.

Minors

Please note: A parent or guardian must accompany patients under 18.
