Dental Exam
When you visit our North Raleigh office, a dental exam is much more than just “routine”. Teeth Cleaning
A Prophylaxis (cleaning) will be performed by one of our Registered Dental Hygienists (RDH). We’ll clean your teeth by removing deposits, i.e. plaque (bacteria), calculus (tartar), and stains. We’ll also provide hygiene instructions, and discuss your specific oral health goals. Regular preventive maintenance of this type, along with a proper at-home care regimen, will help ensure that you maintain good oral health for years to come! Digital X-Rays
During your new patient visit to our North Raleigh office, Dr. Gaught and his professional team will provide you with the highest quality of care using the latest technology in digital X-rays and imaging. We use these to look inside your jaw and bone structure to diagnose problems that would otherwise remain hidden. As well as providing one of the highest quality images, digital X-rays also reduce the amount of radiation exposure by 90% compared to a traditional X-ray systems.

I grew up in Valparaiso, IN before attending Indiana University Bloomington. I then attended dental school at the Indiana University School of Dentistry. After graduating, I moved to North Carolina with my wife, Amber, where she would complete a medical residency at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. While obtaining my license in North Carolina, I worked in a safety net clinic for the underserved in Roxboro and Yanceyville, NC. I practiced there for five years, gaining valuable experience as a clinician and serving as the dental director in my final year. For the next five years, I treated patients in private practice in Cary, NC, becoming proficient in performing the latest dental procedures.
My wife and I are the proud parents of two girls: Audriana and Genevieve. We also have a Weimaraner named Lulu, who ensures there is never a dull moment around the house!

Tiffany Pinnix, DDS
NC Dental License #: 11053
Dr. Pinnix was born and raised in the small town of Hiddenite in the foothills of North Carolina. She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree (DDS). Prior to finding her home in the Triangle, she attended Appalachian State University in Boone, NC where she received a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry. Following dental school, Dr. Pinnix worked in a community health center providing dental services as well as working as an associate in private practice.
During Dr. Pinnix’s time at UNC, she had the opportunity to participate in multiple volunteer opportunities including Crest Healthy Smiles programs at local Boys and Girls clubs, leading the philanthropy committee for the Student Dental Association, hosting a blood drive in the dental school, and serving the dental needs of people in Malawi on a month-long dental mission trip.
As a dentist, Dr. Pinnix enjoys all aspects of dentistry and prides herself on giving patients the quality care they deserve. She enjoys staying up to date on the latest developments in the field. She loves being able to educate patients on the importance of their oral health and giving them a smile they can be proud to show off. Dr. Pinnix places a focus on continuing education to give her patients the best possible care.
She has completed invisalign certification, the implant pathway continuum, and American Academy of Facial Esthetics (AAFE) certification in TMJ and orofacial pain. She stays up to date with specialists in the community in her monthly Spear study club and is currently a member of the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), North Carolina Dental Society (NCDS), American Academy of Facial Esthetics (AAFE), and Raleigh-Wake County Dental Society (RWCDS).
Outside of dentistry, she enjoys spending time with her husband Tyler, family and friends, and her sweet fur-baby, a bernedoodle named Oliver. Dr. Pinnix also enjoys traveling, experiencing new places and adventures, working out, and running or biking local greenways.
